Unearthed Outdoors is pleased to announce its new line of global data products. True Marble™ is a true color, photo-realistic, high resolution, 3 terabyte image of the earth. True Marble GLCD™ is a global land cover dataset "land usage map" identifying 15 different "land usages" such as forest, grassland, desert, urban, and farmland. All data is provided at a base 15 meter resolution.
True Marble
True Marble is a 3 TB global true color dataset. Use it for photographic quality views of the earth. This would include use in video, web & GIS applications, simulation, and visualization. Download the free global version to check if it meets your application requirements.
True Marble GLCD
True Marble GLCD is a 150 GB global land cover dataset. It specifies water, forest, grassland, swamp, and other classifications at 15m resolution. It can be used for various GIS applications, research, education, and it can serve as a foundation to build other datasets. For example, alter the palette colors to create natural-color maps.
