enid lake
I dont know anything about the other camping areas at the lake ....I have been camping and boating at Enid Lake Mississippi/Wallace creek campground since 1991 ,The place is GREAT, there are some beautiful campsites near and some right on the waters edge where you can pull your boat right up to the shore at your campsite, even if your not on the water there's lots of shady sites . .There are also numerous swim areas cabled and buoyed and clearly marked swimming depths .we also have found a lot of places to pull up the boat and have lunch around the lake and some great coves to pull skiers or tubers. you can also bank fish below the dam .The corps of engineers have done a great job of taking care of the lake and the park rangers are helpful and dont allow any loud stereos or loud people .The lake is also well patrolled without being obtrusive and the rangers frown on obnoxious jetboats .This is definately the place to take your family for a great outing , they also have electricity and water hookups up to 50 amps for camper trailers or 110 v 20 amp power for campers needs .The bathrooms and showers are clean and well maintained .
Now for the negatives,there is no marina and one store just before you turn into wallace creek they have fairly reasonable pricesthere are a few local stores a little further away, BUT there is a starbucks and a walmart 15 minuetes north on highway 55 in Batesville and lots of resturants.MY FAMILY AND I LOVE IT
