Devils Tower National Monument
Devils Tower National Monument

-We spent about an hour at this monument on a Tuesday afternoon in August; our time was limited because we needed to tour some of the Black Hills and get to our KOA cabin by that evening. Others could spend several hours time by taking one or more trails
-There is an extensive prairie dog town, and several opportunities to photograph the prairie dogs, near the entrance to the monument
-Devils Tower National Park Service brochure was well done in explaining the geological history of the tower, a map of the roads and trails, and explanation of the facilities
-Visitor Center was nice
-We had excellent views of the Tower, both close up and farther away, with good photo opportunities
